Why you should Print your Family Photos | Nashville Family Photographer
This year, I’m on a mission to PRINT MORE MEMORIES! Crazy thing for a photographer to say, huh, that I don’t print enough of my own photos?!? But it’s true!
I stumbled upon a podcast with the founder of Chatbooks who explained that their business began from seeing how much their own children loved looking back at memories from the past year. They discussed some really important reasons to print your family photos like improving your child’s self confidence. In seeing pictures of themselves displayed in your home, they know they are valued and loved. It can even help us moms feel better about mothering! Yep, in the moment of chaos, I bet you sometimes lose it (just like me), and then later beat yourself up for being such a horrible parent. But looking back on past memories and your children’s happy faces proves that you are doing an amazing job!!
I do a fancy yearbook at the end of every year of my kids, but these are all images taken with my “big camera.” And while I don’t carry my big camera with me everywhere, there is a camera that I always have. Yep, my iPhone. That little booger actually holds hundreds of everyday moments that I don’t want to forget either!
This year, I signed up for their Monthly Minis series. Each month, I’ll go through my cellphone images, upload them via their app, and then send them off to print. January’s book came absolutely perfect, and I’m just about to finish adding photos to February’s. My kids have loved having January’s to flip through already.
I will still spend time with my kiddos in front of my “big camera” and put together that fancy yearbook in December. But I’m super excited about having a quick and easy option to showcase my little iPhone memories throughout the year too.
This got me thinking about you…who is usually the one taking your everyday iPhone pictures?

Which means you’re not in your own life’s memories!
So definitely do the monthly Chatbooks for iPhone moments (they are amazing!), and then also book a session with me so you’ll have a record of memories that include YOU!! Your kiddos want to see you in family pictures, they want to see how you held them and played with them and loved on them. You just can't do that with your iPhone, not without taking up all that precious time that you want to be spending with them.
And then let’s put all your session images into a gorgeous album and pass it down as a family heirloom to be enjoyed for generations. Chatbooks for now, heirloom album forever. Sound good?
