I’m in love with in-home sessions. Being allowed into your personal space and getting to spend some time with your new and growing family is such an honor to me. And babies, dang it! Getting to be around babies is sweet icing on the cake!
I got to meet and photograph this family late last year when they were still a family of four. It’s pretty awesome getting to come back into that same space and see how it’s changed. Everybody is tired but so very happy! It seems like it’s always a worry with parents that their kids won’t listen or will be crazy maniacs. Truth is, they probably will be, but I can handle a little crazy, I’ve got my own at home! And this is real life. Kids do not always laugh and smile. They need breaks and time to be themselves. Home is a great place for that!!
This sweet girl has two awesome big brothers and a daddy that is so obviously in love with her and her momma, it just oozes out of their pictures. My husband did not get to know my dad because he was already quite ill by the time we started dating. But he asked me once, what made your dad such an awesome dad? What did he do? Without hesitation, I said, he loved my mother, and he loved us girls, and we knew it. There will be no doubt amongst these kids how loved they were. Being able to capture that for families makes my heart happy!
